Whats New #2

Recently, in Southwest Colorado, there was a mining accident. Out of the many miners, 19 were injured and 2 are dead. Sources do not yet know what exactly caused the collapse, but they know it involved carbon monoxide, for that is what the two men died from. These mines produce many minerals, such as copper, zinc, gold, lead, and silver. Police do know that the miners often use explosives to break through walls in the mines, and that may be what caused this. However, explosives do not explain the traces of carbon monoxide found in  Nick Capanno, and Rick Williams. The journalist who wrote this article doesn't know much about the topic so his argument and statements are very weak.
Since this a fairly recent event, its not surprising that there is only little information about what caused the incident. I do trust that they are looking into how the mines went down. The carbon monoxide is a huge mystery, and is very tragic. I believe that the mines may have tried to ignite a bomb to break though some harder walls but it never went off, something very common in these cases. It could have let out bad fumes ,and with all the zinc and lead in the caves thus created a bigger distraction then intended. Unfortunately there is no knowing if any of that is true, for they haven't gotten a full report on what exactly happened down there, according to the article.

Sneakers, BLOG 7

Sneakers was a very entertaining movie, I enjoyed it a lot. It was very interesting and it actually taught me some about black hackers and how crazy the business is. The scene where Marty had to sneak into Cosmo’s office to take back the black box had me at the edge of my seat; so much was going on, knowing that he couldn't walk faster than 2 inches per second or else the alarm would go off, and also knowing that everyone was in danger doing so. One wrong move and the plan would go to ruin. The other scene that I enjoyed was when Whistler, the blind man, had to drive the van to pick up Marty and everyone else, all the way across the parking lot from where the van was parked. It was so enjoyable and funny, and everyone depended on him to save them basically. I loved it.

Cosmos theory of how the world has changed is very accurate, I strongly agree with it. The people who can control the 1s and 0s basically could control everything if they had the right codes, since everything nowadays is stored on computer bases. People who know how to hack into other computers and data bases could change whatever suits them. Money couldn't redo what a hacker had done, for when a hacker leaves a mark on something, there are hardly any ways to fix that. A powerful person becomes much less powerful if their army base computers go down due to a hacker, or their personal data for that. In the end, its true that people who can control the 1s and 0s come out on top.
